This Thursday night session is designed to pick up the live-music energy from the A Day Well Spent launch at The Berry General Store and keep Berry humming on a Thursday night!
Expect two warm, unpretentious sets from Alex Clark and Solo West at the Great Southern Hotel Berry that lean into folk, country and stripped-back roots — the perfect locals’ night for lingering over drinks, meeting friends and enjoying live music that feels like home.
Bookings are available (for dining) but not required — come early for a table or grab a drink at the bar.
Solo West
A determined travelling troubadour, Solo West blends popular covers with his own distinctive voice. With powerful vocals, acoustic guitar, stomp and didgeridoo, Solo West curates a family-friendly atmosphere and slips in originals about travel and memory when the moment suits. Expect intimate, rhythmic sets that invite singalongs and good company.
Alex Clark
Alex Clark is a versatile solo acoustic artist who fuses folk, country, punk and rock into emotionally resonant, stripped-back performances. Known for eclectic covers and strong originals, Alex has supported acts from Mental As Anything to Gwyn Ashton. Alex champions quality live music and the venues that host it — bringing seasoned stagecraft and memorable songs to any room.
About a Day Well Spent
A Day Well Spent is Berry’s multi-venue, music-first series of Thursday locals’ nights and Sunday sessions that brings life to the precinct, supports hospitality businesses and creates dependable performance opportunities for musicians. It is part of the Extend the Weekend campaign. There are four music-led weekends planned – 19th & 22nd February (Country), 19th & 22nd March (Jazz & Blues), 21st & 24th May (Indie), and 18th & 21st June (Funk & Soul).
Supported by the NSW Uptown Grant Program – part of a statewide movement to revitalise regional town centres and help extend the weekend to support our hospitality businesses and live musicians and help our visitors live like a local in Berry.
